About Us
TEAMS began in 2020 as The Reading Block, an online tutoring and enrichment program created to support families during a time of uncertainty. As we worked with students and families, one thing became clear—learning is about more than academics. Students need confidence, connection, and a space where they feel supported.
In 2024, we grew into TEAMS with a broader vision: to support the whole child while building a stronger connection between parents, students, and educators.
Today, TEAMS provides personalized support in reading and math, along with enrichment opportunities that help students grow both academically and socially. We also introduce American Sign Language (ASL), giving students meaningful communication skills they can carry beyond the classroom.
Our approach is simple. We create a supportive, welcoming environment where students can learn at their own pace, ask questions freely, and build confidence step by step. Through both one-on-one and group learning, we focus on understanding, expression, and real growth—not just getting the right answers.
We believe every child deserves access to quality support and a place where they feel comfortable learning. That’s why we are committed to creating spaces—both virtual and in-person—where students can focus, grow, and feel encouraged.
